A summer destination wedding with garden-meadow florals, soft pastels, and a ceremony designed to feel like it grew there.
This Blooming Hill Farm wedding in the Hudson Valley was pure August: sun on the grass, towering trees overhead, and florals that leaned into the landscape instead of fighting it. We designed the ceremony like a curated wildflower edge—airy, low, and abundant—so the couple felt surrounded by blooms without blocking a single view. The palette stayed soft and romantic (creamy whites, fresh greens, blush, and petal pink), with texture doing most of the talking: hydrangea, playful daisy-like blooms, delicate clusters, and movement from grasses and airy stems.

The Ceremony: A Meadow Aisle Under the Trees
The ceremony focal point was the setting itself—a massive, storybook tree—so we kept the floral approach grounded and organic. We built low garden groupings at the base and along the aisle, mixing cloud-like whites with soft blush tones and light, fluttery textures. The aisle clusters were intentionally varied (some fuller, some airier) to feel natural and effortless, like the landscape just happened to bloom for the day.
The Reception: Tented, Textural, and Summer-Soft
For the tented reception, we carried the same meadow-forward language inside: airy arrangements that feel fresh, not fussy—soft color, lots of green, and a light hand with negative space so the tables still felt open and celebratory. Think “garden in motion” rather than tight, formal domes—an elevated summer look that still reads timeless.
