A sunlit modern wedding with yellow-forward wedding florals, clean white urn moments, and a dinner-party reception with lamps + airy centerpieces.
This September 20th wedding at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville Arkansas was bright in the best way—warm wood ceilings, glass walls, and a floral direction that felt like a curated installation instead of “decor.” We leaned into golden yellows + creamy whites + soft greens, keeping shapes sculptural, light, and intentional so the flowers felt like part of the architecture.

The Ceremony: Two Urns, One Big Statement
For the ceremony, we kept the approach minimal and museum-clean—then anchored the space with two large white urn arrangements at the front. The florals were airy and asymmetrical, with a strong yellow read that popped against the neutral palette of the venue.
Design notes from this ceremony:
- Statement urns instead of a traditional arch (clean, modern, photographs beautifully)
- Yellow-forward ingredients for energy without feeling “theme-y”
- Loose movement + negative space so the arrangements felt artful, not bulky
Bridal + Personal Florals: White-Forward, Sunlit, and Textural
The bridal bouquet stayed clean and modern, built in a white-forward palette with layered texture and soft movement—easy, artful, and perfect against the architecture at Crystal Bridges. Bridesmaid bouquets followed the same direction so everything photographed cohesive, while the personals (like boutonnieres) were kept minimal and polished, with subtle warmth to tie back to the citrus-yellow floral story.
The Reception: Dinner-Party Tables with Warm Light + Floral Still Lifes
Reception styling leaned into a modern dinner-party vibe: long tables, soft linens, and table lamps that made the room glow as the light shifted outside. Florals stayed low and conversational—airy, textured centerpieces that felt curated and editorial.
This style is perfect for couples who want:
- a refined, modern look that still feels joyful
- centerpieces that don’t block conversation
- warm, cozy lighting that makes the whole room feel elevated
