A rooftop ceremony with skyline views, soft drape, and grounded, mossy floral sculptures.
This wedding at The W Loft in Brooklyn was all about contrast—in the best way. Airy white fabric moving in the wind. Concrete lines and open sky. And florals that felt like they were growing up from the rooftop itself: lush moss, bright citrusy blooms, and a bridal bouquet built entirely by hand with a uniquely wired, sculptural technique.

The Ceremony: Minimal Structure, Maximum Mood
For the ceremony backdrop, we kept the structure clean and modern with a simple, draped moment that let the skyline do its thing. At the base, we created two grounded floral “landscapes”—moss-heavy, textural installations that felt organic and editorial instead of traditional.
The palette leaned sun-warmed and playful: pops of orange, soft yellow, and fresh greens—designed to read bold against the neutral rooftop setting without feeling loud.
Design notes from this ceremony:
- Soft drape as the “frame” (simple + elegant, photographs beautifully)
- Low, sculptural floral mounds that feel intentional—not like décor piles
- Texture-first ingredients (moss, airy greens, seasonal blooms) for movement and depth
The Reception: Bud Vase Color Play with Golden Hour Light
Inside, the reception tables were styled with individual bud vases and full scale arrangements—each one like a tiny still life. We mixed bright, happy stems with plenty of negative space so every bloom got its moment, especially in that late-afternoon light pouring through the windows.
This style is perfect for couples who want:
- a more modern, editorial look
- lots of color without heavy arrangements
- centerpieces that feel curated and effortless
The Bridal Bouquet: Uniquely Wired + Sculptural
The bride carried a bouquet that was intentionally different—lightweight, airy, and fully hand-wired so the stems could hold shape, shift direction, and create that floating, artful silhouette. This technique gives you a bouquet that feels more like wearable design than a traditional “round” arrangement.
Expect:
- intentional negative space
- playful line work and asymmetry
- a bouquet that photographs like fashion editorial details
Personal Florals: Clean + Modern (With a Wink of Color)
For the boutonniere, we kept it crisp and minimal—soft peach tones, a bright accent bloom, and a touch of texture for a modern finish that didn’t compete with the look, but absolutely elevated it.
Palette + Floral Ingredients (Style Direction)
Color story: sunset orange, citrus yellow, fresh green, soft peach, creamy neutrals
Texture story: moss, airy greens, delicate blooms, sculptural forms
We always design seasonally and make thoughtful substitutions when needed—keeping the overall look and feeling consistent.
